How to sponsor a spouse, partner or dependent child
If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you may sponsor your spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner, or dependent children to come to Canada as permanent residents. Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recognizes marriage from any foreign jurisdiction, which means that if you got married in your home country you can submit your translated marriage certificate for Canadian sponsorship immigration application.
